Artistic Swimming WA has been successful in receiving $30,000 of funding from Healthway for 2022. The funding will provide support to deliver programs to more centres throughout Western Australia with the goal in making West Aussies more active, more often.

According to Artistic Swimming WA’s Chairperson Nicola Eidne, “The continued funding received by Healthway will help our organisation to keep building our participation programs in the regions, with the CALD community, Seniors Program and programs for participants with disabilities. We have been able to fund travel, coaches and staff as well as pool entry for those looking to begin the sport, as well as to fund the participation of those who would not otherwise be able to afford to continue to exercise and have the enjoyment that our sport can offer. This is a very exciting time for us as this provides the support for ASWA to ensure that we can continue to build a sustainable and viable sport throughout WA. The ASWA Board would like to thank Mr Brian Miller, for his work on behalf of the ASWA Board in securing funding for Artistic Swimming WA. His time and contribution in seeking funding for our organisation has been invaluable to our growth.”

Being a new and small sport, the grants provided from Healthway throughout the years have been invaluable to the growth of our participation program with the All Synched Up Crunch & Sip events. Healthway also supports our largest competitive event of the year, the Crunch & Sip WA State Titles.

We are thrilled to be allowing the opportunity for more people to be able to be involved in the sport of artistic swimming. The funding provided to ASWA in 2022 is the most we have ever received and reflects the success of our programs over the years to provide healthy exercise in the community.
