Ever thought about learning more about artistic swimming? Would you like to learn a few new swimming skills, have some fun in the pool with other swimmers and see how you like it?
Artistic swimming – or synchronised swimming – encompasses elements of swimming, gymnastics and dance, and if you’ve tried any of those sports, you should try artistic swimming.
SynchroStART is a new entry-level program designed for boys and girls aged 6-12 years to get a taste of what’s involved in artistic swimming.
The program introduces them to some basic synchro concepts and skills giving them the chance to improve their general swimming, learn some water safety essentials, get some great exercise, and most importantly, have lots of FUN!
It will also prepare them to transition to more advanced synchro club programs if they wish to keep going with synchro and further develop their artistic swimming skills.
SynchroStART programs are run by qualified coaches and the programs are provided at various pools north and south of the river by the SupaNova Synchronised Swimming Club and West Coast Splash Synchronised Swimming Club, and at select regional centres. For more details on SynchroStART contact:Offering classes at Claremont Pool and Craigie Leisure Centre.
