Volunteer Videos – If you want to get involved, watch these short videos to see what the roles our volunteers are all about.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport – we just couldn’t do it without them! Whether it is scoring at a meet, organising awards, becoming an official, setting direction through one of our committees, or taking on the fiduciary responsibility of the society through the board of directors, volunteers are essential to artistic swimming in WA.
Competition Volunteers
Artistic Swimming WA runs many competitions each year, with many volunteer shifts at each meet. NO EXPERIENCE OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE IS REQUIRED! We will tell you everything you need to know when you arrive on deck. Positions may include recording scores on the score sheet, timing a routine, running the music or video system, marshalling athletes, or being an announcer. It is all straightforward and you get the best seats in the house.
Officials
Officials – judges and referees – are trained to officiate at artistic swimming competitions. Artistic Swimming WA is always looking for new judges. If you are interested in becoming a judge please contact us for information on the next available workshop.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is elected by Artistic Swimming WA members each year at its Annual General Meeting. The Board oversees the affairs of the organisation and ensures the organisation can effectively carry out its mission. Artistic Swimming WA Directors collectively make decisions for the good of the whole organisation.
